WHAT A NIGHT! A night for champions! The All-Raiders Alumni-Varsity Game was a tremendous success! A great show of sportsmanship, camaraderie and strong sense of pride for Stonewall Jackson High School. New friendships were made and a reaffirmation to what makes Stonewall such a special place was confirmed. Special thanks to our AD Kevin Turner for his unwavering support and making this a reality; to Patricia Schumaker of Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire Department for volunteering her time and EMT services (thank God her services weren't needed!); to A.J. Laban for his voice and wit serving as our evening's announcer; to John Becker and Coach Adam Ward for being our awesome referees; to Pat Hogan for being our evening's photographer; to Sean McMahon for overseeing fine details & coordination; to Coach Justin Orabona and Trevor Wilkinson for stepping up and playing goalie posts; and to Carma Becker and Julie Hogan for organizing and coordinating the event. Most of all, we thank all our Raiders (past and present) AND all our families and friends who came out to watch. We are counting on all of you to continue to support our program. It most certainly takes a village... and we've got an amazing one. Let's continue to nurture it and help it grow.

With tremendous pride, we salute our young men for inspiring excellence not just on the field, but first and foremost, in the classroom! To make the US Lacrosse All-Academic team, Mason, Ben, Brennan and Trevor all maintained over a 3.6 cumulative GPA while dedicating themselves to the sport of lacrosse, along with many other extra-curricular activities. They are stand out representatives of our school and community.
Ben Goodson achieved the highest honor being named US Lacrosse Academic All-American. He is one of only six young men (over 170 nominated) from our entire region who achieved this honor. CONGRATULATIONS - RAIDER NATION! We're back on! This THURSDAY, JUNE 7th we play! For those who have already officially registered, look for an email later today. We ask that you reply back to the email (or post a comment in this blog below) letting us know if you can still play on Thursday. We'll update the Roster with confirmed players for the new date.
MANY THANKS TO OUR ATHLETIC DIRECTOR KEVIN TURNER FOR BEING SO INCREDIBLY SUPPORTIVE THROUGHOUT THIS ENTIRE PLANNING PROCESS! GO RAIDERS! Sadly, today's game is literally a wash. Fields are flooded. We are hoping to reschedule the game sometime this week, so stay tuned for updates.  Ready to Rumble? In about 24 hours, IT'S ON! An epic battle, brother against brother, the old guard versus the new, the quest for bragging rights... (Kidding!) Let's get together for a great time! Be sure to check out our website home page for our ever growing list of players! So far, we've got 25 alumni and 11 varsity players officially registered.
