Good morning,
I wanted to provide everyone an update to our Summer and Fall off-season plans. Spring sports has a Red period (no contact with coaches/team activities) coming up. This period will start on July 30 and ends on August 8th. After the red period, we WILL start off-season workouts and skill building. Starting on Monday August 13th, we will have team activities on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 8:00 PM at Stonewall. Players please bring athletic apparel (shirts/shorts/shoes etc) and equipment such as sticks, gloves, and helmets. Participation in off-season activities promotes individual growth, team chemistry, and will result in a more successful spring season. I am still working on arranging a Fall workout schedule and will let everyone know when the schedule is completed. Additionally, I wanted to let all know that Stonewall is hosting a face to face concussion training tomorrow night (7/25/18) at 7 pm in the school's auditorium. Attending this face to face training is required for all NEW players/families and highly recommended for all returning players/families. Completing this annual training is required and it doesn't hurt to check this box sooner rather than later. Coach O and I will be present at this training as well and would love to meet all new and returning players and their families. I am very excited to start our off-season program and hope to see as many players on the 13th! Go Raiders! -- Sean McMahon Boys Lacrosse Head Coach Stonewall Jackson High School

Dear Stonewall Boy's Lacrosse Family,
I would like to announce that I’ve accepted the Boy’s Varsity Head Coach position. I would also like to thank you all for your support and encouragement. I’m so excited about this amazing opportunity and I cannot wait for the spring season to be here. Coach O and I have been talking about offseason plans and wanted to inform everyone as to what we have planned so far. I have recently registered Stonewall in the Virginia Elite Lacrosse (VEL) fall season. In order to have our own team we need at least 21 registered players. If we do not have at least 21 players registered we will be put on a team consisting of players from various schools. Participation with VEL is open to ALL (Varsity, JV, incoming freshmen) Stonewall players. VEL games will take place every Saturday from September 8th through October 27th. We will get at least 8 games and will have the chance to compete in a playoff. Games start every hour from 8:30 AM through 8:30 PM. Player registration opens on August 1st. I am excited for our boys to play in this very competitive league and our participation will help individual players develop and will be beneficial for our program. Please let me know if your family will register for VEL’s fall league. I’m hoping that we will get more than enough players so we can focus on developing as a program this off-season. http://virginia-elite-lacrosse.com/ Additionally, we will be competing in the Fall Brawl 7 v 7 event. This is an annual event that takes place at Robinson High School. This year's Fall Brawl is on the weekend of November 17th and 18th. The cost is $75 per player and this fee includes 6 games and a T-shirt jersey. Again we would love to have as many players participate for individual development and program growth. http://fairfaxfallbrawl.com/ Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, Sean McMahon SJ Boy’s Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach Stonewall Jackson High School's Boys Lacrosse Program is thrilled to announce and welcome our new head varsity coach Sean McMahon.
