Pre-Season Notes (Coach Ward)

Tryouts are but a few days away! We need to hit the ground running as our first scrimmage is on March 7th!!! Please make sure you check out the Try-Out Tab for pre-requisites. This goes for new and returning players. Other quick notes as we prepare for the season are as follows:

Equipment
Practice packs have been ordered and will arrive the first week of march. Until then, players should wear athletic gear and previous years practice gear. Helmets and uniforms are provided by the program, and I have an assortment of hand-me-down pads. The only thing players are responsible for on their own is their stick(s), cleats, and mouth guards. 

Roster / Schedule / Contact Info
The all-program roster with player e-mail addresses is attached. Please coordinate with myself and / or Stephanie LeClair to make sure by the end of the month we have an e-mail address for all players and parent.

Tentative ​calendar / season schedule are posted. We will be adding one more varsity game and 2-3 "JV Only" games to be determined.

Practices will be held after school from 3-5pm and on Saturdays to be determined. 

Parent volunteers
On game days we will need an announcer and scoreboard runner. (Thank you Terry LeClair for taking on the videotographer post for the third year in a row!) If you're interested in helping, please let me or Stephanie know ASAP. Stephanie will also be coordinating team meals which will need parent volunteers. She will be sending an email once the season starts.

Team meals / club dues
Due to VERY successful fundraising campaign, (thank you all, especially Coach O) we are able to dramatically reduce the player cost for participation this year. We will not be charging club dues, but will still need to charge for meal plans. That amount will be determined soon, once we have a more definitive game schedule complete.
